Terms of use

Effective July 2026

By installing or using Auris, you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not avoided.

What Auris is

Auris is a browser extension that reads AI chat responses aloud using your device's built-in speech engine. It is an assistive tool, similar in function to a screen reader. It does not automate conversations, interact with any AI platform's API, or store any of your data.

Your license

A paid subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use Auris on up to 5 of your own devices. You may not distribute, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or resell the extension or your license key.

Acceptable use

Use Auris for lawful purposes on your own devices. Do not attempt to circumvent the license system, distribute keys, or use the extension in ways that violate the terms of the AI platforms it works with.

Service availability

Auris runs entirely on your device and does not depend on our servers to function. We cannot guarantee compatibility with every future update of the AI platforms it supports, but we commit to maintaining support for them.

Liability

Auris is provided as-is. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from its use. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your current subscription period.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms in a meaningful way, we will communicate the change clearly. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
